Grants

The Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County (HHC) Grants Department is responsible for coordinating the development of all private foundation and federal, state, and local government agency grant proposals and grant awards within HHC, including the HHC Headquarters Division, the Marion County Public Health Department, Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services and Eskenazi Health, which includes Eskenazi Health Center and Midtown Community Mental Health. In addition to preparing grant applications, the Grants Department fiscally oversees the corporation’s grants. HHC’s direct federal and federal pass-thru grant funds are managed according to the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements, 2 CFR Part 200, et al. The Grants Department operates a sub-awardee monitoring program to ensure that federal award dollars sub-granted to sub-awardees are used for authorized purposes in compliance with laws, regulations, and provisions of contract or grant agreements. All sub-awardee monitoring efforts are governed by 2 CFR 300.331. Finally, the Grants Department works closely with HHC’s Finance Department for all fiscal audits, including the annual Single Audit.
