Security

The 15 employees of the Security Department provide day-to-day services for all facilities owned or leased by the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County (HHC) and the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD). Security staff also provide services for events supported or hosted by HHC/MCPHD, including mass vaccination clinics, health fairs, the annual Back-to-School event and special employee functions.

In addition to these duties, the department serves as part of Marion County’s public health emergency preparedness program. Security Director Karl Brady serves as the security coordinator for this effort and many of the department’s officers have roles at designated sites in the event of a public health crisis or disaster.
