Every three years, the Joint Commission conducts an unannounced survey of every hospital they accredit to ensure national quality and safety standards are being met. That survey is currently underway at Eskenazi Health and will continue throughout this week.
In recognition of the activities required to facilitate this essential review of the hospital, the decision has been to cancel the September meeting of the Health & Hospital Corporation Board of Trustees.
All pending business will be moved to the October meeting of the HHC Board of Trustees scheduled for October 20.
