The Marion County Health Department’s Beds and Britches Etc (BABE) program will move its distribution center to a new facility Wednesday, August 25.

The center, which serves as a drop-off and storage location for the BABE program is moving from its present location at 4087 Millersville Road to the Health Department’s new multi-purpose facility at 4040 North Rural Street.

The BABE program operates five stores throughout Indianapolis as an incentive for pregnant and parenting women to engage in healthy practices during pregnancy and through the first five years of the child’s life. BABE coupons are earned through attending classes and going to pre-natal and well child appointments. These coupons can then be exchanged for new and used clothing and supplies.

The Marion County Health Department, Clarian Health, St. Vincent Hospitals and Health Services, Wishard Community Health Centers and St. Francis Hospitals and Health Centers are program sponsors.

Individuals or community organizations wishing to support the BABE program can call the Marion County Health Department at (317) 221-3052.
