Health Department Clean Up of Falcon Point Concludes
The Marion County Health Department has completed its clean up of the Falcon Point apartment complex, removing a total of 84.94 tons or 169,880 pounds of heavy trash, garbage and large debris. The complex, located near the intersection of 38th Street and Mitthoefer Road, suffered significant damage to all 16 apartment buildings as the result of a May 30 tornado.
Attempts by the health department to have the property owner clean the property were unsuccessful. Cost of the clean up, $4,757.24 will be billed as a lien against the property.
A September 3 administrative hearing will be the next step in determining the property’s fate.
