Special Enrollment Event for Health Insurance Marketplace on Jan. 31

INDIANAPOLIS – Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace runs through Jan. 31. For those who need help enrolling or determining their eligibility, Covering Kids and Families of Central Indiana is offering a special health insurance enrollment event on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m.-Noon and 5-7 p.m. at the Avondale Meadows YMCA, 3908 Meadows Dr. in Indianapolis.

Everyone who enrolls for health insurance during this free event on Jan. 31 will receive a one-day pass to the Avondale Meadows YMCA.

In addition to the Health Insurance Marketplace, navigators are also certified to help with enrollment into Hoosier Healthwise, Advantage, and Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) 2.0, as well as Medicaid plans with CareSource, Anthem, MDWise, and Managed Health Services (MHS). These plans are available year-round.

Covering Kids and Families is also offering extended office hours, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 30 to offer free enrollment assistance. Offices are located at 2951 E. 38th St. in Indianapolis. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Covering Kids and Families of Indiana is a statewide program operated in Central Indiana by Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. The Central Indiana office serves residents in Marion County and seven surrounding counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Morgan and Shelby.
