District Health Offices Offering Back to School Immunizations

Beginning October 4, the Marion County Health Department will offer back to school immunizations through its District Health Offices. Due to seasonal flu clinics, changes to previous office schedules have been made.
Individuals will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Health officials expect long waits at each site, increasing the likelihood that some patients may not be seen. Note that the Tuesday South District Health Office clinic is by appointment only.
For back to school shots, a parent or legal guardian must accompany a child to the clinic. A current shot record or school letter outlining needed vaccinations should be brought to the clinic.
The health department will charge a $10 administrative fee per individual for back to school vaccinations. Medicaid will be accepted and no one will be denied services due to an inability to pay.
