Employee Programs
Opportunities to Nursing Education (O2NE) Program
This one-of-a-kind scholarship initiative provides tuition assistance, a reduced work schedule, mentoring, and life-skills support. From 2008 to 2025, 266 employees completed the program to become RNs and LPNs, with a high percentage of graduates continuing their careers with HHC and ASC. Many O2NE graduates have transitioned into clinical leadership roles, including 10 Directors of Nursing.
Administrator-In-Training (AIT) Program
This initiative fosters professional growth by preparing identified leaders to become licensed health facility administrators (HFAs). Following a six-month internship under a qualified preceptor and completion of state and federal examinations, participants undergo advanced leadership training with ASC before stepping into Executive Director roles. To date, more than 30 Executive Directors have completed the program, including two who have been promoted to Regional Vice Presidents.
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
HHC is committed to building a strong foundation for clinical care through its CNA training initiative. From 2023 to 2026, 2,750 employees completed their CNA training, with 1,550 of those CNAs still employed by HHC.
Emergency Preparedness
To ensure the safety of residents and staff, all employees receive annual emergency preparedness training. Conducted in collaboration with community partners and health care coalitions, this training ensures that staff are fully prepared to manage both natural and man-made disasters.
