During a Knozone Air Quality Action Day, the region’s air quality may become unhealthy for
individuals who are sensitive to air pollutants, including:
- Children
- Senior citizens
- People with breathing-related illnesses, such as asthma
- Those who are active outdoors
The Indianapolis Office of Sustainability encourages sensitive groups to reduce prolonged or
heavy exertion outdoors on Knozone Air Quality Action Days.
People who have any concerns about how air pollution affects their health should seek the advice
of a physician.
